House of Terror
The house of terror is a museum, which lives in the old home of the Hungarian secret police. You will discover a fantastic history there although a little bit of the horror filled side, as people would be taken to this police station to be tortured and interrogated. There were constant screams emanating from the cells there, so the walls were built two times thicker so that they would absorb the screams.
Hospital in the rock
Castle Hill shares part of its history with the ancient network of caves, this attraction in Hungary was opened only very recently. The Cave system was utilized a lot during the Second World War. I believe when Budapest was under attack. On display there is genuine medical equipment and up to 70 wax figures. There is a guided tour of the cave system every half an hour. But if you want a more in-depth and detailed tour then you will find that there is an hour-long ‘full tour‘. When I say full tour, I am talking about 7000 square feet worth of cave. This tour takes you through a Cold War nuclear bunker.
