Kerry Airport or Farranfore Airport is it sometimes known locally, is in County Kerry in the south west of Ireland. It is a hub for Ryanair and Aer Arran who offer limited flights to the UK and Ireland and occasional seasonal routes. Look out for Skellig Michael, a 6th century monastic settlement on a rocky island off the coast and finds out more about it at the museum on the mainland. Drive through the incredible Killarney National Park and stop at the towns of Waterville and Kenmare. Don’t forget to stop at Ladies View for the amazing panorama.
Out and about with your car hire in Kerry, you can also visit the Dingle Peninsular and Garruan Point, the westernmost tip of Ireland, just 3,000 km from North America. You can also drive out to the Beara Peninsular and the city of Cork in the south. In the north of County Kerry, you can visit the town of Tralee and the Kerry County Museum or try out the Steam Railway and see the Blennerville Windmill.
