Ljubljana airport is located in the direction of Kranj. This international airport was previously called Brnik Airport and now it is renamed as Joze Pucnik Airport. For many people the first place that they see in Slovenia is the Ljubljana Airport. Once you reach the Ljubljana Airport, you can find car hire outlet directly at the airport. Here you can walk through this old city center and take a ride to Ljubljana castle on the funicular railway. From the tower of the castle you can see the entire city. In this city there are a number of museums that you can visit and know about the culture and history of Slovenia.
The Ljubljana Zoo is a small one but worth seeing. After visiting the zoo, drive in your car hire to Atlantis. This Ljubljana’s aqua park is among the biggest parks in Europe and has pools, massages, saunas and solarium. You can also visit the open market, located by the river. Slovenia is a paradise for botanists. The botanical garden in Ljubljana is the oldest in Southeast Europe and has around 5000 different plants. The entrance is free. But finding a parking is a bit of a problem in this place during the week especially in the afternoons.
